Guti\u00e9rrez Sergio E.\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facet.unt.edu.ar\/iest\/integrantes\/gutierrez-sergio-e\/\">GUTI\u00c9RREZ, Sergio Eduardo<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Periodo de Ejecuci\u00f3n:<\/strong> Inicio 01\/01\/2014 &#8211; Finalizaci\u00f3n 31\/12\/2017<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"#GRUPO%20DE INVESTIGACI\u00d3N\">Ver Grupo de investigaci\u00f3n<\/a><\/p>\n<h4>Resumen<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Luego de la ocurrencia de un sismo destructivo, es de primordial importancia decidir acerca de la seguridad o riesgo del edificio ante posibles r\u00e9plicas y la posibilidad de su uso con o sin reparaci\u00f3n, por lo que es necesaria la evaluaci\u00f3n cuantitativa del da\u00f1o para estimar la capacidad s\u00edsmica residual e identificar las acciones a tomar respecto al edificio da\u00f1ado. En pa\u00edses como Jap\u00f3n o Estados Unidos, existen recomendaciones dadas por el Architectural Institute of Japan, o el Applied Technology Council en EEUU (ATC 40) acerca de la evaluaci\u00f3n s\u00edsmica y rehabilitaci\u00f3n de edificios de hormig\u00f3n, donde se proponen recomendaciones a seguir en relaci\u00f3n a la evaluaci\u00f3n s\u00edsmica residual y su posible rehabilitaci\u00f3n. En la Rep\u00fablica Argentina no existen lineamientos o recomendaciones dadas por la Norma en vigencia como as\u00ed tampoco trabajos de investigaci\u00f3n que permitan relacionar resultados experimentales con m\u00e9todos cuantitativos a fin de evaluar la capacidad s\u00edsmica residual de una estructura luego de ocurrido el sismo. El objetivo general de este proyecto es proponer una metodolog\u00eda de evaluaci\u00f3n de estructuras de hormig\u00f3n armado post-sismo, a fin de permitir cuantificar lo m\u00e1s objetivamente posible la capacidad s\u00edsmica residual de estructuras despu\u00e9s de la ocurrencia de un terremoto destructivo, para decidir sobre la continuidad del uso de las estructuras da\u00f1adas y de su refuerzo o rehabilitaci\u00f3n. Los objetivos espec\u00edficos que se pretenden alcanzar son: a) Desarrollar un formulario de campo para la evaluaci\u00f3n r\u00e1pida del da\u00f1o y la seguridad de las edificaciones despu\u00e9s de un terremoto. b) Desarrollar una metodolog\u00eda de evaluaci\u00f3n post-sismo en las construcciones. c) Desarrollar y ajustar a partir de resultados experimentales modelos hister\u00e9ticos para predecir el comportamiento de distintos tipos de estructuras (tabiques, p\u00f3rticos y p\u00f3rticos rellenos con mamposter\u00eda).d) Determinar el factor de reducci\u00f3n de la capacidad s\u00edsmica de elementos de hormig\u00f3n armado y paneles de mamposter\u00eda, en funci\u00f3n de la capacidad s\u00edsmica residual y la capacidad s\u00edsmica inicial. e) Determinar la relaci\u00f3n existente entre el ancho m\u00e1ximo de fisuras residuales y la flecha residual, y a partir de \u00e9sta obtener el factor de reducci\u00f3n. f) Calibrar un modelo num\u00e9rico no lineal que permita predecir el comportamiento c\u00edclico de p\u00f3rticos de hormig\u00f3n armado y p\u00f3rticos rellenos con mamposter\u00eda y determinar el factor de reducci\u00f3n de la capacidad s\u00edsmica para diferentes niveles de ductilidad.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Abstract<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">After a destructive earthquake, it is highly important to carry out a risk assessment of buildings in case of probable aftershocks and to determine the possibility of occupying those buildings with or without retrofitting. Therefore, it is vital to assess the quantitative damage in order to estimate the residual seismic capacity of the structure and to identify actions to be taken regarding the damaged building. In countries like Japan or the United States of America there are recommendations issued by public organisations, such as the Architectural Institute of Japan and the Applied Technology Council (ATC 40) of the USA, about seismic assessment and retrofitting of concrete buildings and the estimation of the residual seismic capacity of a structure. In Argentina the present standards do not provide judgement criteria or suggestions about this matter. In addition, there is no research work that can relate experimental results with quantitative methods in order to assess the remaining seismic capacity of a structure after the seismic event. The general objective of this project is to propose a post-seismic assessment methodology of concrete buildings in order to quantify objectively the residual seismic capacity of structures after a destructive earthquake, thus providing engineers a tool to decide whether it is safe to continue using the damaged building or not (evaluating the necessity of retrofitting). The specific objectives are: to develop an in-situ form for a quick damage and safety assessment of buildings after an earthquake. To develop a post-seismic assessment methodology of concrete structures. To develop and adjust hysteretic models using experimental results in order to predict the behaviour of different types of structures (shear walls, reinforced concrete frames and masonry infilled RC frames). To determine the reduction factor of the seismic capacity of concrete elements and masonry panels according to the remaining seismic capacity and the initial seismic capacity. To determine the existing relationship between the maximum crack width (measured in-situ) and the residual deformation or drift in order to estimate the reduction factor.
