Convocatoria CALL FOR PAPERS

SPECIAL SESSION: Advances and Applications in Forecasting
Paper Submission Deadline: February 22, 2013
IJCNN 2013
The International Joint Conference on Neural Networks
http://www.ijcnn2013.org
August 4-9, 2013, Dallas, USA

The premier international conference in the area of neural networks is organized by the International Neural Network Society (INNS), and sponsored jointly by INNS and the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society – the two leading professional organizations for researchers working in neural networks.

You are invited to submit a full paper for consideration.

The authors of a limited number of exceptionally high-quality papers will be invited to submit full papers for the IJCNN 2013 special issue of the Elsevier journal, Neural Networks as well as relevant papers on evolving connectionist systems for the Springer’s Evolving Systems journal.

SCOPE: Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Time Series Analysis • Time Series Forecasting
• Evaluation of Forecasting Methods and Approaches
• Forecasting Applications in Business, Energy and Price Demand, Hydrology and Rainfall
• Impact of Uncertainty on Decision Making
• Seasonal Adjustment
• Marketing Forecasting
• Economic and Econometric Forecasting

In addition to papers, authors may also submit abstracts of 500 words or less on topics related to the theme of “Neuroscience and Neurocognition”. Unlike full papers, abstracts will receive only limited review to ensure their appropriateness for IJCNN and consistency with the focus areas of the abstracts program. Authors of accepted abstracts will be guaranteed a poster presentation at the conference. The authors of a limited number of exceptionally high-quality abstracts will be invited to give oral presentations, and possibly to submit full papers for the IJCNN 2013 special issue of the Elsevier journal, Neural Networks. Abstracts will not be included in the conference proceedings, but will be published on-line by the International Neural Network Society along with abstracts for all presentations at IJCNN 2013.

Inclusion of a paper or abstract in the IJCNN program and publication of papers in the proceedings requires that at least one author for the paper/abstract register for the conference. Each full (non student) registration can cover up to 2 papers or abstracts, while each student registration covers 1 paper or abstract.

Submission Instructions: Manuscript style should follow the guidelines Instructions for Authors.

For submitting a full paper, go to the paper submission site.

For submitting an abstract, go to the abstract submission site.

Submission instructions:

Manuscripts should be prepared according to the standard format and page limit of regular papers specified in IJCNN 2013 and submitted through the website: www.ijcnn2013.org.

Special session papers will be treated in the same way as regular papers and included in the conference proceedings.

The authors will submit their papers using the instructions for authors, the templates and the conference submission system (the special session should be chosen by the authors) at http://www.ijcnn2013.org/paper-submission.php#content and http://ieee-cis.org/conferences/ijcnn2013/upload.php.
