The conference is accepting papers in English, Spanish, and Portuguese related to three main tracks: Engineering Education, Engineering Research and Technology, and Engineering Practice.

· Notification of paper acceptance: April 19, 2013
· Submission of final paper: May 17, 2013
TYPES OF SUBMISSIONS:
The conference will be accepting three different types of submissions for presentations.
· Full-length Paper: It is a full length, peer reviewed paper that will be presented in the conference and published in the conference proceedings. The work must be original, and has not been published previously (except in the form of an abstract or as part of a lecture or thesis). Authors are required to submit the copyright form. Excellent refereed papers in engineering education might be invited to submit a revised version for publication in the LACCEI journal.

· Extended Abstract: It is a two-page manuscript accepted for presentation only in the conference; it will not be published in the conference proceeding but will be published in the conference memories.

· Student Paper: It is a full length, peer reviewed paper to be presented in the conference for student competition and published in the proceedings. A student must be the leading author or the students’ participation has been significant. The best three papers in this category will receive an award.

Publications:
The conference proceeding has an ISBN number and will be indexed by EBSCO Publishing. The best manuscripts in engineering education will be invited to submit the paper for publication in the Latin American and Caribbean Journal of Engineering Education (LACJEE ISSN 1935-0295), indexed by Latindex, Caribean Search and Fuente Académica Premier de EBSCO Publishing , INSPEC by IET and Publindex in Colombia.
